    3rd Term - 2018/2019 Newsletter

    NEWSLETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE

     

    APPRECIATION:

    The Lord has indeed been so gracious to us having seen us through to the end of another academic session. His name be greatly praised.

     

    We express our profound gratitude to you our highly esteemed parents for entrusting  your precious children/wards into our care. We thank you very much. We are also grateful for your active participation in our programmes such as annual thanksgiving, P.T.A. meetings, send off, speech and prize giving ceremony.

     

    EXAMINATION:

    To the glory of God, examinations have come and gone. The students were vigorously taught and the teachers were at their best and ensured that everything necessary was done in inculcating all the domains of learning in them. What you see on your child’s/ward’s report sheet is a true reflection of her performance. About 95% of the students were promoted on merit. We enjoin you to partner with us next term to achieve the desired result.

     

    COMPETITION:

    We are grateful to God for a fruitful session, the Lord has been merciful to us. We participated in series of competitions; Spelling Bee, Reading, Essay and Sports. We won Laurels in each of these competitions.

     

    PAYMENT OF FEES:

    We appreciate parents/guardians who promptly paid their child’s/ward’s schools fees last session.

     

    We enjoin you to cooperate with us by paying your child’s / ward’s fees on return as this will enhance the smooth running of the school. God bless you as you comply. Meanwhile, we are praying for financial open doors to you.

    SCHOOL UNIFORM:

    Please be reminded that henceforth, we will no longer tolerate uniforms not bought from the school. Every uniform made outside would be confiscated.

     

    ADMISSION INTO 2019/2020 ACADEMIC SESSION

    Please be informed that entrance exam into JS1, JS2, SS1 and SS2 comes up on 3rd August, 2019. The forms are still available for sale in the school. Be our mouth piece.

     

    CONTRABAND ITEMS

    Please be reminded that students are not permitted to return with the following items:

    Phones, coloured singlets, make up kit, mufti (coloured dresses), cardigans other than the school’s branded one, sophisticated slippers, abacha, food stuff and condiments.

    We insist that our students should wear black or white singlets and white sports foot wear. We maintain that confiscated items will not be returned to the owners.

     

    BOOKS:

    Textbooks are available in the school. Be reminded that we do not accept exercise books that are not the school’s branded exercise books.  

     

    HAIR

    Ensure that your child/ward trims her hair very Low on return. Failure to do that authorizes us to do it our own way.

     

    EXPECTED ITEMS ON RETURN:

    On return, the students are required to submit the under listed items.

    RESUMPTION:

    Boarders will resume on Saturday, 14th September, 2019 from 12noon to 5:00pm while day students will resume on Monday 16th September, 2019

    July 18th Newsletter - 2018/2019

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

    INTRODUCTION:

    We bring to you greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus. We appreciate the Lord God Almighty for His grace and mercy toward all of us throughout this term. We also thank you for your immense support and solidarity. We reassure you that your efforts are not wasted but rather rewarding.

     

    ACADEMICS:

    The academic tone of the school remains high. The students responded positively to teaching and learning, and many performed excellently.

     

    EXAMINATIONS:

    We bless the name of the Lord for the successful completion of all external examinations, for both SS3 and JS3 students and the release of WASSCE results. Although we are yet to receive the hard copy, the results we have seen so far are impressive.

    On the other hand, termly examination has been concluded. The students wrote under a conducive atmosphere and the results have been uploaded. We enjoin you to go through your child’s / ward’s result to discover her areas of weaknesses, so that you will tighten all loose ends before next session.

     

    HOLIDAY CONDUCT:

    The holiday is usually a period parents leave their children on their own. We use this medium to encourage parents to endeavour to keep their children busy with programmes such as youth Christian programmes, summer school, skill acquisition training programmes etc. We also advise that you monitor where they go, the company they keep and what they watch on the screen. We request that parents should endeavour to spend quality time with their children for positive bonding.

     

    UNIFORM:

    We also implore you to look into your children’s school wear such as the school uniforms, sports outfit, hostel dress, cardigans, ceremonial wear, Cortina, school hat and sports foot wear. If you notice that your child has outgrown hers, please endeavour to use the holiday period to purchase new ones.

    We also use this medium to inform the parents of students who completed JS3 that they are required to purchase new set of school uniform for Senior Students.

    Please be reminded that all uniforms are available in school. No student is permitted to make uniform elsewhere as such uniforms would be seized.

     

    PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES:

    we appreciate our parents who promptly paid their children’s school fees last session. We enjoin you to cooperate with us by paying your children’s school fees as this will enable us run the school smoothly. We are praying for you trusting that our God will definitely do you good in Jesus name.

    EXTENSION CLASSES:

    We use this medium to inform parents whose children/wards are in JS3 and SS3 that extension classes commenced last term and would continue until they start their external examinations. This is to enable us prepare them adequately. Consequently, they are required to pay    N 5000 cash to the bursary department on return next term.

     

    CONTRABAND ITEMS:

    We have observed that despite all pleas to parents and warning to our students, some of them come to school with phones, games, indomie, food condiments, mufti, coloured singlets etc. We once again use this medium to emphasize that these items are not tolerated amongst our students. The problems they cause cannot be overemphasized. Be reminded that any of them seized would not be returned.

     

    HAIR CUT:

    Endeavour to trim your child’s/wards hair very low on return next term. Please be reminded that failure to do that, we would be compelled to do that our own way.

     

    EXPECTED ITEMS ON RETURN:

    On return the students are expected to submit the following:

    JS2 – cowbwebing broom

    JS3 – scrubing brush (long)

    SS1 – detergent OMO /WAW (900g)

    SS2 – disinfectant Izal/isol (1litre)

    SS3 – mop stick

     

    Note: In addition, all students are required to submit 2 toilet rolls each.

    Parents are to provide drinking cups and a set of cutleries to their children / wards in case they are lost. (Boarders)

     

    ADMISSION INTO JS1, JS2, SS1 & SS2:

    We still have vacancies for the above category of students, forms are still available. We encourage you once again to be our mouth piece and inform your friends.

     

    RESUMPTION:

    School resumes for the next academic session on Saturday 15th September 2018, not later than 5:30pm for boarders and Monday 17th September 2018 for day students. Be reminded that failure to resume on the said date attracts a fine of N5,000.00 each.

     

    Note: All school prefects are expected back on 11th September, 2018 in order to receive new students.

     

    SCRATCH CARD:

    Please be reminded that 2018/2019 is a new session. Hence, the students are required to pay N1000.00 cash to the bursary for new scratch card to enable them assess results and other necessary information from our website. throughout next academic session.

     

    BOOKS:  

    Be also reminded that we have our branded exercise books. No student is permitted to buy elsewhere.

    Assess the list of books from the website. Meanwhile, books are available in school for those who prefer to buy from school.

    Newsletter For Third Term - 2018/2019

    INTRODUCTION:

    We bless the most high God who in His infinite mercy has preserved our lives and seen us through to the end of the first half of this term. We also appreciate you parents / guardians for partnering with us. The Lord has indeed been so gracious to us.

     

    EXAMINATION:

    The external examinations have been on, the SS 3(three) students have completed their WASSCE while NECO is still going on. Similarly, the JSS3 (three) students have completed their NECO while the state JSCE will commence soon. We are optimistic that the Lord will surely glorify His name through these results.

     

    ASSIGNMENTS/PROJECTS:

    We enjoin you to ensure that all take home assignments/projects are completed during this mid-term.

     

    INTENSIVE EXTENSION CLASSES:

    We use this medium to intimate you that we commenced intensive extension classes for SS2 and JS2 students this term to ensure that they are prepared adequately before the commencement of their external examinations. The amount to be paid will be communicated to you later.

     

    SCHOOL FEES:

    We wish to state that any child/ward who has not completed her fees will not be allowed to resume after the mid-term break.

    MID-TERM BREAK:

    The mid-term breaks starts on Friday 1st June, 2018 and ends on Saturday 9th June, 2018. All boarders are to return on Saturday 9th June, 2018 not later than 5:00pm while the day students are expected to join on Monday 11th June, 2018 for the traditional kick-off test.

     

    EXPECTED ITEMS ON RETURN:

    On return, the students are expected to submit the following farming items:

    JS1 – maize seed

    JS2 – pumpkin seed

    JS3 – corm of cocoyam 

    SS1 – groundnut

    SS2 – cucumber seed and garden egg seed

    Newsletter Mid Term Break - Second Term 2018 / 2019

    INTRODUCTION:

    We give thanks to the Almighty God who has taken us thus far. He alone sustained us, improved and shielded us. We are indeed very grateful unto Him. We also appreciate you parents for your role in our success story.

     

    MID-TERM BREAK:

    The school closes for the mid-term break today 14th February, 2019.

     

    RESUMPTION:  All boarders are to come back to school on Saturday 23rd February, 2019 not later than 5pm while the day students would join on Monday 25th February, 2019.

     

    HAIR CUT;

    Endeavour to trim your child’s/ward’s hair very low on return. Please note that the school would be compelled to do it her own way if any student flouts this instruction.

     

    SCHOOL FEES:

    We want to use this opportunity to thank all parents who responded promptly to the payment of all fees. At the same time, we enjoin those owing to ensure that all debts are cleared on return because those still indebted to the school would not be allowed into the compound.

    Furthermore, parents of students in JSS 3 and SS 3 are reminded that both 2nd and 3rd term fees are paid this term so as to avoid preventing them from writing their external examination. In addition, the JSS 3 students are required to pay N1, 300 each for their BIODATA CAPTURING

     

    ENUGU STATE UNIFORM EXAMINATION

    All students in JS 1, JS 2, SS 1, and SS 2 are expected to pay N400 each on return for the Enugu State Uniform Examination.

    NOTE:  All SS 3 students offering Dyeing and Bleaching and Visual Arts are to buy the items listed below for their NECO Exam. Be informed that exhibition of all their art work forms part of the Exam.

    1. 2 ½ yards of funtua calico fabric for Batik
    2. 2 ½ yards of funtua calico for Tie and Dye
    3. Cheap coloured brocade materials (2 yards) for Bleaching
    4. 2 ½ yards of coloured fabric for Printing
    5. Appron
    6. Nosemat
    7. Hand glove
    8. Eye goggles 

     

    ENTRANCE EXAMINATION:

    Forms for the entrance examination into JS 1, JS 2, SS 1, and SS 2 are available. The first batch would take the exam on Saturday 4th May, 2019. Please help us to inform your friends, neighbours and relations.

     

    ASSIGNMENTS/PROJECTS:

    Mid-term assignments and projects were given to the students. Ensure and insist that your child/ward completes hers.

     

    SCHOOL UNIFORM:

    Please recall that you were previously informed that students are not permitted to make their uniforms outside. Please be also informed that the school will not hesitate to seize any uniform not bought in the school. Similarly, all students who have lost their hats, ceremonial shoes, stockings or those who have outgrown any of their uniforms are required to replace them.

    NOTE: We would not tolerate any shabby dressing next term.
